pten.bio explains PTEN for people who are not specialists. It covers what the gene does, what happens when it is lost or mutated, and where the research on nerve regeneration actually stands.

It is written for two readers. Someone who has just been told they carry a PTEN mutation and wants to understand what that changes. And anyone following the work on PTEN and axon regrowth who wants the state of the evidence rather than a press release.

Every factual claim traces to a primary source: the paper, the clinical guideline, or the trial registry record. Not to a secondary article that cites one. Where a source is named on a page, it is the source that was actually read.

Numbers are quoted with their origin. Where published figures disagree, the disagreement is shown rather than averaged away.

Pages say when the evidence is weak, contested, or absent. A section on what is not known is part of the standard structure, not an afterthought.
